Why
we support Atzin. |
Atzin
is a well organized, non-profit organization working collaboratively with
the people. It is a cost-effective project, is sustainable and respectful
of the customs of the participating families. Since Caminamos
Juntos beginnings twelve years
ago, mutual trust and respect has developed between the Tlama villagers
and Caminamos Juntos, which enhances the viability of the project.

| Our
Specific Focus |
To raise
money for the water and sanitation systems (dry toilets and water catchment
cisterns) as seen in the slide presentation. Our funds are primarily used
to help pay for the necessary construction materials (sand, gravel and
water), as well as the training and supervision of local trainees and
the transport of materials. The participating families also contribute
labour and construction materials. |

is an integrated project, we also support their work in the areas
of: Family Health & Healing, Special Needs & Nutrition, Income
Generation for Women and Community Education & Literacy |
